Job Summary & Essential Functions

Setup and operate CNC equipment to machine material to meet controlled drawing documentation and quality workmanship guidelines.

Setup and operate assigned production equipment following first piece inspection processes
Cut material to specified tolerances as close as +/- 0.001
Monitor equipment to ensure that parts are manufactured to print and applicable workmanship standards
Perform machine maintenance activities as specified on the Preventive Maintenance schedules for assigned production equipment
Follow departmental and company procedures to produce
Adhere to General Requirements of Team Members

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, job orders, specifications, drawings, schematics, process sheets, wiring diagrams, and small print
Ability to manually program CNC machines and edit programs
Ability to use machining and tooling equipment and instruments
Ability to inspect and use measuring devices to ensure specified tolerances are met
Ability to operate cranes used in area
Strong math computation and measurement skills
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to understand torque requirements
Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions
Ability to problem solve issues involving multiple variables and limited standardization
Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to produce quality results
Ability to work in a high volume, high detail work environment
Abilities listed in General Requirements of Team Members

Required Experience & Education

High school diploma or GED; machine trade or technical school experience preferred
No experience
