Job Summary & Essential Functions
Setup and operate CNC equipment to machine material to meet controlled drawing documentation and quality workmanship guidelines.
- Setup and operate assigned production equipment following first piece inspection processes
- Cut material to specified tolerances as close as +/- 0.001
- Monitor equipment to ensure that parts are manufactured to print and applicable workmanship standards
- Perform machine maintenance activities as specified on the Preventive Maintenance schedules for assigned production equipment
- Follow departmental and company procedures to produce
- Adhere to General Requirements of Team Members
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, job orders, specifications, drawings, schematics, process sheets, wiring diagrams, and small print
- Ability to manually program CNC machines and edit programs
- Ability to use machining and tooling equipment and instruments
- Ability to inspect and use measuring devices to ensure specified tolerances are met
- Ability to operate cranes used in area
- Strong math computation and measurement skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to understand torque requirements
- Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions
- Ability to problem solve issues involving multiple variables and limited standardization
- Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to produce quality results
- Ability to work in a high volume, high detail work environment
- Abilities listed in General Requirements of Team Members
Required Experience & Education
- High school diploma or GED; machine trade or technical school experience preferred
- No experience
