Job Title: CNC MachinistLocation: Anderson, South CarolinaCompany Type: Locally Owned Job Shop Manufacturing FacilityPosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our locally owned and growing machine shop in Anderson, SC. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality precision parts for a variety of industries. The ideal candidate will have strong machining knowledge, the ability to read blueprints, and experience working in a fast-paced job shop environment where part runs and setups change frequently.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes to machine precision components.Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.Select proper tooling, offsets, and cutting parameters for each job.Inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators.Make program edits at the machine when needed to maintain part quality and efficiency.Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure parts meet specifications.Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards on all manufactured parts.Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust tooling or machine settings as required.Maintain a clean and safe work environment following shop safety procedures.Work closely with supervisors, programmers, and other machinists to meet production deadlines.Qualifications2+ years of CNC machining experience preferred (job shop experience strongly preferred).Experience with CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines.Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.Experience using precision measuring equipment.Ability to perform machine setups and make minor program adjustments.Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and manage multiple job setups.Preferred SkillsExperience with Fanuc, Haas, or Mazak controls.Tooling selection and setup experience.Knowledge of machining various materials such as steel, aluminum, stainless, and plastics.Experience with short-run or custom part production.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with machine noise and moving equipment.Why Work With UsLocally owned and operated companyStable, long-term employment opportunityTeam-oriented shop environmentOpportunity to work on a wide variety of custom parts and projects
