Job Title: CNC Machinist – 1st Shift

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Pay: Up to $28 per hour (based on experience)

Team Environment: Smaller team with cross-training opportunities

Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Machinist for a 1st shift opportunity. This role is ideal for candidates with 1–2 years of CNC experience or current CNC students looking to grow their skills in a collaborative machine shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines

• Load programs and tooling into machines

• Adjust machine settings to ensure quality production

• Inspect parts during and after production to verify quality standards

• Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy and quality

• Cross-train in additional machines and processes

• Assist with training new associates as needed

• Operate various mills and lathes, including:

  • Okuma Mill (Vertical)

  • Tongtai Mill (Horizontal)

  • Hurco VM30

  • Hurco VM20

  • Hurco TM8

  • Mazak Lathes

  • Okuma Crown Lathe

  • Okuma LB-15

  • Okuma LB3000

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–2 years of CNC machining experience OR current CNC student

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Blueprint reading proficiency

• Skilled in using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools

• Ability to determine dimensions, set controls, start and operate machines independently

• Strong attention to detail and quality control

• Good attendance record

• Hard-working, dependable, and team-oriented

• High school diploma preferred (not required)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for the entire shift

• Use of machines and hand tools throughout the day

• Lift up to 50 lbs intermittently

• Perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail
