Description
We are looking for a dedicated CNC Machinist with strong programming skills to operate and maintain CNC machines, create and modify CNC programs, and ensure high-quality output. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of machining processes, blueprints, and CAD/CAM software, and be able to troubleshoot and optimize machine performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines including mills and lathes to produce precision parts according to specifications.
- Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs using [specific software, e.g., G-code, M-code, CAD/CAM software]. Modify existing programs to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine machining requirements.
- Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and adjustments as necessary.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to machine performance, tooling, and programming. Implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Continuously seek ways to enhance machining processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to refine techniques and methodologies.
- Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production runs, and maintenance activities. Update and document changes in CNC programs and procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist with hands-on programming skills. Experience with HASS CNC machines is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in CNC machining or related field preferred.
- Proficiency in CNC programming languages (G-code, M-code), CAD/CAM software (specific software, e.g., BobCAD, SolidWorks), and machining techniques. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain high precision and accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Strong focus on safety and quality.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors. Ability to follow detailed instructions and provide feedback.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work in a manufacturing environment.
