Courion is seeking a skilled and reliable CNC Machinist to set up and operate a variety of CNC equipment in our manufacturing facility. This position plays a critical role in producing high-quality parts for our freight elevator systems and related equipment, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to production schedules. The ideal candidate will have hands-on machining experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to precision and teamwork.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical certification or associate degree in machining, manufacturing technology, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist, preferably in a custom or low-to-medium volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes and mills.
• Familiarity with Okuma and Fadal CNC equipment preferred.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
• Skilled in setup, operation, and minor programming adjustments on CNC machines.
• Understanding of tooling requirements, feeds, speeds, and cutting parameters for different materials.
• Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills for CNC machines and tooling.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, and production staff.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Self-motivated with the ability to follow schedules and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and organized.
• Set up and operate CNC equipment including Okuma Genos L200E-M, Fadal CNC 88HS, Fadal VMC 4020BII, and Fadal 906-J.
• Machine components from iron castings, steel stock, and fabricated materials according to engineering specifications and drawings.
• Perform precision operations such as milling, drilling, tapping, threading, and surface finishing.
• Measure and verify dimensions using appropriate inspection tools and ensure parts meet quality standards.
• Execute work according to customer build schedules and production priorities.
• Communicate with supervisors to coordinate production flow and address issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of jobs, setups, and production runs.
• Monitor machine performance and perform basic troubleshooting or maintenance as needed.
• Manage inventory of tooling and request replacements in a timely manner.
• Identify opportunities to improve machining efficiency, setup times, and tool utilization.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives in the CNC department.

Full time – Non-Exempt
Work Hours: 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Thursday (with occasional overtime as needed)
