Job Overview:

CNC Machinist – 1st Shift

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Pay Range: $22 – $26 per hour

About the Role

Anderson-Negele is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will set up, program, and operate CNC and manual machining equipment to produce high-quality parts that meet production and quality standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes and VMC machining centers as well as manual machines (lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, routers).

  • Convert engineering drawings and designs into CNC machine programs.

  • Review blueprints and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and machining sequences.

  • Inspect finished parts, tooling, and materials to ensure they meet quality standards.

  • Monitor machines during operation to ensure proper performance and precision.

  • Troubleshoot CNC programming or operational issues.

  • Work from drawings and written instructions to create new parts, replacement parts, tooling, or prototypes.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace.

  • Help establish production standards for setup and machine times.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of machining experience, including CNC setup and operation.

  • Strong knowledge of CNC machining, tooling, programming, and measurement techniques.

  • Ability to program CNC lathes and VMC machines.

  • Experience troubleshooting CNC programming or machine issues.

  • Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.

  • Strong math, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Associate degree in Machining or Mechanical Technology, trade school training, or equivalent experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally.

  • Frequent standing, reaching, twisting, and use of hand tools and equipment.

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with machinery, noise, and PPE requirements.
