Machinist – Southbridge, MA

Pay: $24 - $33/hr

Location: Southbridge, MA

Job Type: Full-Time

A leading manufacturer of precision components for the defense, aerospace, and electronics industries is seeking an experienced Machinist to join their Southbridge, MA team. This position is responsible for programming, setup, and operation of CNC and conventional machine shop equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC and other machine shop equipment to produce precision parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and compensations.
• Operate CNC equipment with minimal supervision, including machine startups, program selection, and basic setups.
• Inspect parts using measurement tools, gauges, and quality inspection procedures.
• Troubleshoot machining and process issues and support new product development.
• Complete production documentation and ERP transactions.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of machining experience preferred.
• Experience with CNC equipment, lathes, mills, drills, punch presses, or deburring machines.
• Ability to machine parts independently from print to finished product.
• Knowledge of machine shop math, GD&T, tooling, and measurement equipment.
• Swiss and Mazak experience highly preferred.
• Good understanding of quality control principles.
• Basic computer skills and strong communication abilities.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
