We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC machinery to produce precision parts and components according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience with Fanuc controls, basic G & M code programming, precision measuring tools, and standard machine shop practices.
Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts and components.
Perform basic machine programming using G and M codes on Fanuc controls.
Set and adjust machine tools, offsets, and operating parameters as needed.
Use calipers, measuring instruments, and precision tools to verify dimensions and ensure accuracy.
Read and accurately use a tape measure.
Convert measurements between metric and standard measurements.
Perform basic machining practices, including:
Deburring parts
Drilling and tapping holes
Cutting keyways
Indicating vices
Setting and adjusting tool offsets
Follow job orders, verbal instructions, blueprints, and established specifications.
Use power tools, hand tools, and measuring equipment safely and effectively.
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and conformance standards.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and related equipment.
Identify machining issues and make appropriate adjustments to maintain quality and production standards.
Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects accurately and on schedule.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Previous CNC machining experience required.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
Must be proficient in using calipers and other precision measuring instruments.
Must be proficient in reading and using a tape measure.
Must be able to convert metric measurements to standard measurements.
Basic knowledge of G and M codes and Fanuc controls.
Knowledge of basic CNC machine setup and operation.
Experience with basic machine shop practices, including deburring, drilling, tapping, keyway cutting, indicating vices, and tool offsets.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic required.
Ability to stand for extended periods while operating machinery.
Ability to lift, carry, bend, stoop, and reach as required.
Ability to safely operate CNC machinery, hand tools, and power tools.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ability to work safely in a manufacturing/machine shop environment
