Position Details
- Position:
CNC Programmer / Machinist (Lathes & Mills)
- Schedule Options:
8, 9, or 10-hour shifts
- Occasional weekend work required
Equipment & Technology
Work with industry-leading CNC equipment, including:
- Makino
- Mazak
- Mori Seiki
- Doosan
- Haas
Key Responsibilities
Program, set up, and operate
CNC mills and lathes
Utilize CAM software to develop and optimize machining programs
Perform
machine setups, including:- Setting tool lengths
- Establishing and storing work offsets
Read and interpret:- Blueprints
- Technical drawings
- Work instructions
Ensure parts meet
tight tolerances and quality standards
Follow all
documented procedures and customer requirements
Inspect finished components and make adjustments as needed
Work independently while maintaining productivity and quality
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum
3 years CNC machining experience
(mills and/or lathes)
Experience with:- Fanuc controls
Minimum
2 years programming experience
using:- Mastercam
Ability to:- Perform full machine setups
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Follow detailed procedures and documentation requirements
Strong
communication skills
(written and verbal)
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience machining
castings or complex metal components
- Background in
aerospace or defense manufacturing
- Familiarity with tight-tolerance, high-precision environments
