**Manual / CNC Machinist

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Employment Type: Contract-to-Direct

Shift: 1st Shift Only

Heavy fabrication and large-scale machining facility seeking experienced Manual and CNC Machinists to support production of large structural components serving mining, defense and industrial markets.

Machinists will set up and operate 3- and 4-axis equipment and machine components to tight tolerances in a heavy industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual and CNC machining equipment
• Set up 3- and 4-axis machines
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Hold tight tolerances
• Perform tooling selection and offsets
• Conduct quality checks using micrometers, calipers and precision gauges
• Maintain safe and organized work area

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• CNC setup experience required
• 3- and 4-axis experience required
• Strong blueprint reading skills
• G/M code knowledge preferred
• Experience machining large or heavy components strongly preferred
