CNC Machinist – 1st & 2nd Shift

Position Summary
We are seeking experiencedCNC Machinistsfor 1st and 2nd shift opportunities. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes, including3-, 4-, and 5-axis equipment. This role requires the ability to read and understand CNC programs, upload and download programs to machines, and confidently work withG&M code.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, troubleshooting machining processes, and producing high-quality precision components to print specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills and CNC lathes.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and job specifications.
- Upload and download CNC programs to and from machine controls.
- Read, understand, and make appropriate edits toG&M code.
- Set work offsets, tool offsets, and cutting parameters.
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding.
- Perform first-piece inspections and in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment.
- Make machine adjustments to maintain required dimensions and tolerances.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues.
- Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to optimize quality and productivity.
- Work with a variety of materials and complex part geometries.
- Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Follow all established quality, safety, and production procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as aCNC Machinistin a precision manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experiencesetting up and operating CNC mills and lathes.
- Experience with3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC equipment.
- Strong understanding ofG&M codeand the ability to make program edits at the machine.
- Experienceuploading and downloading CNC programs.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
- Strong knowledge of CNC tooling, workholding, offsets, speeds, and feeds.
- Ability to use precision inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other measuring tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple machining priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with both CNC milling and turning.
- Experience with complex, tight-tolerance components.
- Familiarity with CNC programming/CAM software.
- Experience working with multiple CNC control platforms.
- Formal CNC machining training, technical education, or equivalent hands-on experience.

Candidates should be comfortable working the assigned shift and maintaining consistent attendance in a production manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on CNC professional who can take a job from setup through production with minimal supervision. You should be confident setting up and operating multi-axis mills and lathes, comfortable working directly with CNC programs and G&M code, and capable of troubleshooting machining issues to consistently produce quality parts.
