CNC Machinist – 1st & 2nd Shift
Location: Mason, OH 45040
Schedule: Full-Time | Overtime as Needed
We are currently seeking experienced and reliable CNC Machinists to join our team. This role is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, ensuring production goals are met, and maintaining strict quality standards in a precision manufacturing environment.
Shift Details
1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Overtime available as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines, including 3, 4, and 5-axis mills, lathes, VTLs, creep feed grinders, and 5-axis grinders
- Load and unload parts to meet production demands
- Read and interpret blueprints, operation sheets, and technical drawings
- Edit, upload, and troubleshoot CNC programs (G & M codes)
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure quality standards
- Analyze CMM reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Perform deburring operations within specified tolerances
- Select and secure tooling, fixtures, and workpieces
- Operate overhead cranes as needed
- Document production activity in ERP systems and quality logs
- Follow AS9100 and NADCAP quality standards
- Communicate effectively with Quality, Engineering, and Management teams
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues as they arise
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- CNC machining certificate or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience with G & M codes required
- Basic math skills, including trigonometry
- Manufacturing or industrial experience required
- Aerospace experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, or Okuma controls is a plus
- Must meet ITAR requirements
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 lbs regularly
- Stand for extended periods (up to 95% of shift)
- Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and grasping
- Ability to operate lifting equipment such as overhead cranes
- Must have 20/20 vision (corrected or uncorrected) and pass required vision test
