CNC / Manual Machinist

Location: Lockport, IL

Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Monday – Friday. Occasional OT on Saturdays.

We are seeking a skilled CNC / Manual Machinist to join a well-established machining operation in Lockport, IL. This role is ideal for a hands-on machinist who can work independently and consistently produce high-quality parts from drawings.

Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC and manual vertical & horizontal mills and lathes
• Write and edit CNC programs
• Perform complete machine set-ups
• Machine parts to print with precision and accuracy
• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met
• Support industrial repair work, short-run, and long-run production
• Operate overhead cranes safely to move materials and components (up to 25 tons)

Qualifications:

• Strong experience with both CNC and manual machining
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
• Must have own Machinist tools
• Proven ability to program, set up, and run machines independently
• Strong attention to detail and quality
