Job Overview:

EHC is seeking CNC Machinists for a Client in the Houston Area

Day and Night Shift Available

Pay rate $16.00 - $26.00/hour DOE

Primary Function

As a CNC Machinist, you bring value to the Company by safely and efficiently producing error-free parts so that customer satisfaction with our products will be the highest in the industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Properly setup CNC machine tooling and jaws (supervised)
  • Teach geometry of basic turn and bore tooling (supervised)
  • Operate CNC machine for basic pipe threading and make offsets (with little supervision)
  • Learn Work Coordinate system (with supervision)
  • Visual and dimensional inspection of parts per required specifications
  • Maintain traceability of product during manufacturing
  • Meet or exceed all key performance Indicators and the corresponding non-conformance offset measurements 2.8 Documentation as required
  • Report non-conformances to leadman/supervisor
  • Basic understanding of G-code programs
  • Perform weekly machine preventive maintenance
  • Follow the requirements of K&B’s safety program
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Applicable inspection and test equipment designated by the inspection, measuring, and test equipment work instruction(s).

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Graduate or GED or Trade School or read and write
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year industry experience
  • Proficiency Testing: See training below in Section
  • Pass drug test and fit to work physical only
  • Capability Demonstration: Ability to perform job duties within 90 days of hire

Experience

  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of machining or manufacturing industry experience.

  • OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10)
  • G-Code
  • M-Code
  • CNC Machine Setup & Changeover
  • Precision Measurement & Hand Metrology
  • Machine Setups for Production Runs
  • Manual Machining Skills

Machines & technologies you'll use:

  • CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC) (Fanuc, Bridgeport, Mazak, Haas, Okuma, Doosan, Hurco, Dmg Mori Seiki)
  • CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) (Mazak, Haas, Okuma, Doosan, Dmg Mori Seiki)
  • CNC Lathe (5+ axis) (Mazak, Okuma, Doosan, Dmg Mori Seiki)
