Responsibilities:

Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or workpieces as guides for subsequent machining.
Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.
Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth/angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, adjusting machine controls or control media as necessary.
Verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications.
Set up and operate the machine on a trial run to verify the accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
Fit and assemble parts into a complete assembly, verifying dimensions and alignment.

Qualifications:

Ability to study and read blueprints, sketches, and drawings
Knowledge and proficiency in Metric Measurement System
Ability to produce high precision parts with close tolerances
Preferred seal manufacturing/rotating equipment industry experience
Stainless steel and alloy experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in conventional, non-conventional, CNC machines/Machining Centers
Capable of advanced milling and turning setup
