**$24 - $30 an hour! ***2nd shift receive $1 shift premium *

Mon-Friday (7:00am-3:30pm OR 4:00pm - 12:30am )

Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a manufacturer in Harwood Heights, IL and we are looking for candidates that have 2+ years of CNC machining, blueprint reading, and any experience reading drop indicators, vernier calipers, and other inspection gauges.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and mill-turn machines, specifically Duscon and Haas equipment.

• Load and run parts using existing programs and tooling, adjusting offsets as needed to ensure first-piece quality.

• Interpret complex technical drawings and GD&T callouts to ensure accurate machining of parts.

• Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, and other precision gauges.

• Document all inspection results and job-specific measurements in accordance with quality and compliance standards.

• Collaborate with quality and inspection teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain part consistency.

• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures.

• Operate in a low-volume, high-changeover environment, demonstrating strong attention to detail and flexibility.

• Assist in identifying potential quality issues and proactively escalate to supervisors or engineering teams.

• Ensure machines are running efficiently by monitoring performance and performing basic troubleshooting.

• Support production and quality goals by meeting deadlines and minimizing downtime.

• (If applicable) Assist with minor program edits or suggest improvements to machining processes for efficiency.

**Qualifications: **

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 2-3+ years of experience working with CNC lathes, mills and mill-turn machines in a job shop environment.
• Ability to read and interpret micrometers, drop indicators, vernier calipers, and other inspection gauges.
• Ability to correctly interpret drawings, including more complex GD&T callouts.
• Attention to detail and precision in low-volume, high-changeover environments.
• Stable work history (preferably not someone who moved jobs every 2-3 years).
