Job Posting: CNC Machinist (1st & 2nd Shift)

Location: Harwood Heights, IL | Shifts: 1st & 2nd Shift Available

A well-established precision manufacturing company in Harwood Heights, IL is hiring CNC Machinists for both 1st and 2nd shift. The team is looking for dependable, long-term employees who want to grow with the company; frequent job changers need not apply.

What You’ll Do:

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills, specifically Doosan and Haas machines.

• Run parts using existing programs and tooling, making necessary offsets to ensure good first articles.

• Perform in-process inspection using micrometers, calipers, and other precision gauges.

• Maintain strong documentation and quality control standards.

• Read and interpret complex part drawings, including GD&T features.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.

• 2-3+ years of experience operating CNC lathes, mills, or mill-turns in a job shop environment.

• Ability to use precision inspection equipment and interpret complex mechanical drawings.

• Experience working in low-volume, high-changeover machining settings.

• Stable work history — candidates with long stints at previous employers will be prioritized.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Fanuc-controlled equipment and/or Doosan and Haas machines.

• Familiarity with Esprit 2020 or Esprit Edge for CNC programming.

• Ability to troubleshoot and edit programs (not required but appreciated).

• Strong inspection skills and problem-solving capabilities.
