Our Client a local manufacturing company in Redford is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join their team. Core responsibilities in this role include

Operate manual vertical turning lathes as well as CNC vertical and horizontal turning lathes to process products according to the established method of manufacture, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures at all times.

Read and interpret engineering drawings to produce products that meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Set up and adjust tooling on lathes to ensure accurate and efficient production.

Monitor equipment operation, perform routine checks, and maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Location: Redford, MI

Position type: Full time, long term, permanent

An Ideal candidate will possess the following:

Manual machining experience, including both manual and CNC operations.

Ability to read and interpret 2D engineering drawings and detailed written instructions.

Experience in CNC programming and editing

Must have experience in a AS9100 Quality Environment

Must have experience machining metallic components greater than 500lbs

Must have experience machining metallic components larger than 24" in section size.

Familiarity with Fanuc control systems

Experience machining special alloy materials.

Experience working in heavy manufacturing environments

Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to process products through the machine shop efficiently and accurately, ensuring they meet customer expectations and requirements.

High school diploma or GED

• CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC) (Fanuc, Haas)

• CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC) (Fanuc, Haas)
• CNC Lathe (5+ axis)
