Job Overview:

The machinist is responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining the CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. They adjust machine, settings, ensure quality control and troubleshoot issues to maintain efficient production.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Operation:

· Set up and operate CNC machines (ELHA-MORI)

· Load parts into machine and run appropriate milling program

· Monitor Machining Process

· Adjust machine settings to optimize performance

· Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure they meet specifications.

· Label all finished parts

· Make necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy and consistency in production.

· Identify defects or deviations and take corrective action.

· Maintain machine log for all CNC machines.

· Communicate with Foreman about production status and issues.

Safety & Compliance:

· Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.

· Communicate with Foreman about production status and issues.

· Ensure compliance with company safety regulations.

· Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

· Experience: Previous experience as a CNC Machinist or related field preferred.

· Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with CNC programming, blueprints, and measuring tools.

· Attention to Detail: Ability to produce high-precision parts within tight tolerances.

· Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.

· Time Management: Ability to work efficiently to meet production deadlines.

· Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials when required.

Work Environment:

· Works in a machine shop setting with exposure to noise, dust, and metalworking fluids.

· Requires handling heavy tools and working around rotating machinery.

· May require overtime or shift work depending on production demands.
