Position Summary

Experienced CNC Machinist needed to set up, program, edit, and operate CNC lathes and mills to manufacture precision components. You'll work from blueprints, perform quality inspections, troubleshoot machining issues, and support continuous improvement in a high-tech manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, program (IGF), edit, and operate CNC lathes and mills.
• Run multiple CNC machines while maintaining quality and productivity.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, comparators, and CMM (as required).
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and process issues.
• Create and optimize machining processes and machine setups.
• Perform SPC checks and routine preventive machine maintenance.
• Collaborate with Engineering to improve manufacturing processes.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train and mentor junior machinists.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes and mills.
• Ability to program/edit CNC programs using IGF or similar software.
• Able to set up and run 5+ CNC machine types.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM).
• Knowledge of SPC, advanced shop math, and trigonometry.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
