CNC Machinist

2nd SHIFT/$20-$25/hr/Contract-to-Hire

Overview:

Aegis Worldwide is curently partnered with a machine and engineering shop.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor Swiss CNC lathes including Citizen L32, L220E, L20, and L12 turning centers
• Read and interpret blueprints to produce precision-machined components that meet customer specifications
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and programming adjustments to maintain quality and production efficiency
• Inspect finished parts using metrology instruments and optical comparators to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Support production needs across telecommunications, defense, medical, and aerospace manufacturing projects

Requirements

• Experience operating and setting up Swiss-style CNC lathes required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining specifications
• Knowledge of tooling, offsets, programming adjustments, and precision measurement techniques
• Experience using metrology equipment and optical comparators for quality inspections
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
