CNC Machinist

We are looking for a skilled and dependable CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machines to produce high-quality precision components while maintaining production and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions

• Load and unload materials and properly secure workpieces

• Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting tools

• Make machine offsets and adjustments to maintain part quality

• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment

• Perform in-process and final quality inspections

• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed

• Troubleshoot basic machining, tooling, and equipment issues

• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized

• Complete production paperwork and maintain accurate records

• Follow all safety procedures and company quality standards

• Work with supervisors, engineers, and other team members to meet production goals

Qualifications

• Previous CNC machining experience preferred

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints

• Knowledge of CNC machine operation, tooling, and machining processes

• Experience using precision measuring instruments

• Basic understanding of GD&T is a plus

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good problem-solving and mechanical skills

• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely handle materials

Preferred Experience

• CNC mill and/or lathe experience

• Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, or similar CNC controls

• CNC programming or editing experience

• Experience with CAM software such as Mastercam, GibbsCAM, Fusion 360, or similar

• Experience with setup, tooling selection, and first-piece inspection
