Job Title: CNC Machinist
Shift: Day Shift (Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Pay: $30 – $40 per hour (based on experience)
Job Overview
Express Employment is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join a make-to-order manufacturing team. This role involves producing small-batch, high-quality parts ranging from precision aluminum components to large steel frame weldments. The ideal candidate is highly self-sufficient, experienced in CNC programming, and capable of handling projects from concept through completion.
Responsibilities
Determine machining processes, sequences, and tooling
Program, edit, and adjust CNC machines independently
Set up and operate CNC milling equipment
Design workholding and tooling using CAD/CAM
Inspect parts to ensure accuracy to 3D models/specs
Perform secondary operations (drilling, tapping, deburring, finishing)
Troubleshoot issues and improve processes
Perform preventative maintenance and maintain a clean work area
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams
Work Split: ~70% machining / 30% assembly
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Combined experience in machining and CNC programming
Proficient with 3D models and CAD/CAM software
Strong setup, programming, and inspection skills
5-axis and lathe experience preferred
Ability to lift 50+ lbs
