Summary:
AMC is looking for a highly motivated and efficient CNC Machinist to add to our team. Machinists will use Haas VMC’s and must have the ability to program G&M codes. We are looking for a full time CNC Machinist that can work 1st shift Monday-Friday, occasionally on Saturdays. Hourly wage will be discussed during the interview process.

Preferred Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five years related experience or equivalent.
- CNC Machinist Certificate
- Knowledge of proper use of measuring tools/gauges and cutting tools.
- Understand blueprints and routers.
- Work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance.
- Understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Understand any and all safety requirements and cautions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plans machining by studying, blueprints, engineering plans, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
- Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
- Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to international standards.
- Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
