Position:

Production Associate - CNC Machinist

2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday: 2:30pm - 1:00am ($1.00 shift differential applies)

Qualifications (preferred):

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience and capable forklift operation.
  • Metalworking manufacturing experience
  • Ability to convert decimals to fractions.
  • Advanced understanding of milling processes; particularly in carbon steel, stainless steel and copper.
  • CNC mill setup and operation experience.
  • Proficient with CAD/CAM software packages (Solidworks/Camworks).

Qualifications (required):

  • Ability to read detailed instructions and blueprints.
  • Ability to properly use measurement tools to ensure specification conformance.
  • Ability to set up clamps and fixtures.
  • Ability to stand for 8-10 hours a day.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • High School Degree / GED / Certificate.
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Knowledge of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
  • Technical certification/degree or equivalent CNC work experience

Job Responsibilities: Specific job duties will vary based on the position that is best suited with the skills, experience, and interests of qualified applicants.Our production areas include machine operators, assembly, brazing, welding, crating, tube fabrication, material handler.

  • Programming parts using CamWorks with SolidWorks CAD/CAM software.
  • Fixturing and setup of parts.
  • Tooling inventory maintenance and setup.
  • Operation of HAAS vertical mills with 4th axis.
  • Deburring of parts after machining.
  • Measurement of parts to ensure conformance to the specifications.
  • Cleaning and general maintenance of machines and department.
  • Ability to update and maintain tech database
  • Level 4 - Training and development of new operators and processes.
  • Level 4 - Develop and implement standards and procedures for the department.
