Job Overview:

**Relocation is offered on this role, The core hours for second shift are 3pm-11pm Monday - Friday. **Eaton Benefits

In this function you will:

  • Properly set tools in machine locations required for set-up & perform part changeover including program retrieval and input
  • Establish work offsets (G54, G55, etc.) manually and utilizing probing technology
  • Read, understand, and reset CNC machine program codes
  • Calculate and input axis coordinates for CNC machines up to 3 axis’s or use a spindle probe to determine work offsets
  • Calculate and input axis coordinates X, Y, and Z or use a spindle probe to determine work offsets

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years experience operating CNC lathes and/or mills in a manufacturing or operations environment; OR an Associate's degree or higher in machining or manufacturing related discipline.

  • A minimum of one (1) years experience setting up CNC lathes and/or mills

  • This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C.1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C.1158.

  • Relocation is offered. Candidate must reside within 50 miles of Charleston, SC; or be willing to reside within this region, to be considered for this role. Must currently live within the United States.

Preferred:

  • Technical degree in manufacturing, machining, or related field
  • Experience operating a variety of manual machines (lathes, mills, jig bore, grinders, etc.)

Position Criteria:- Able to understand and interpret blueprints and sketches including proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

  • Able to perform basic shop math.
  • A demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
