SUMMARY: The CNC Machinist will set up and operate CNC and manual machine tools to manufacture close tolerance parts with little to no supervision in a job shop environment. This position will require a skill set that goes beyond making geometric offsets and program edits. The candidate should be able to visualize tool path and fully understand G code programming,
blueprint reading and have a shop floor understanding of GD&T. Machine tools could range from CNC lathes to multi-axis CNC machining centers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform Set-up, adjust and operate a variety of CNC machines within the machine shop.
Selects the appropriate cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials to be used on machines.
Examines and measures completed units and parts to identify any defects and to ensure units conform with predetermined specifications; adjusts machine controls to resolve production errors.
EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, AND PROFICIENCIES:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and bending required.
Must be able to lift 35 pounds at a time.
