Job Overview:

Toolroom Machinist / Machinist-Engineer

**Location: *Bryant, IN |*Pay: **Up to $33/hr |Type: Full-Time, Direct-Hire

Aegis is partnered with a major manufacturing company located in the Bryant, IN area that is seeking a Toolroom Machinist (Machinist-Engineer) to join their Machine Shop team. In this role, you will manufacture blueprint items, help reduce costs, and ensure production runs efficiently. This is a hands-on, technical position with opportunities to contribute to equipment maintenance, new equipment start-ups, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints to manufacture precision parts
  • Maintain and improve machine shop equipment, including CNC and EDM machines
  • Assist in new equipment start-ups and CNC upkeep
  • Program EDM machines and support die tech/parts cage departments in cost reduction efforts
  • Troubleshoot equipment using electrical circuits and PLCs
  • Collaborate on projects as assigned to improve efficiency and quality

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or higher in machining, manufacturing, or related field
  • 1–5 years of professional experience inmachining/manufacturing
  • Strong blueprint analysis, CNC programming/setup, and PLC troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ERP systems
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team while meeting deadlines
