** +$1.50/hour
**2nd Shift Sign-On Bonus:
** $1,000 (paid after 90 days)
**Quarterly Bonus Target:

**Annual Merit Review & Increase:
** Based on performance

**1st Shift:
** Monday–Friday | 6:30am–3:00pm (1–2 openings)
**2nd Shift:
** Monday–Friday | 2:30pm–11:00pm (4 openings)

Position Summary
The CNC Machinist II is a highly skilled, detail-oriented technician responsible for independently setting up and operating CNC milling and turning equipment in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. This role ensures efficient production through precise machine setups, tooling adjustments, and thorough first-article inspections.
The ideal candidate has strong live tool lathe experience, deep knowledge of machining principles and G-code, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues with minimal supervision. Success in this role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical precision, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes with little to no supervision
Perform multi-axis setups, including live tooling applications
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
Load and adjust tools, set tool offsets, and verify tool paths via simulation or dry runs
Install and align fixtures, vises, and materials accurately
Conduct first-article inspections and adjust to meet tight tolerances
Troubleshoot tooling, programming, and machine parameter issues
Modify simple G-code functions (speeds, feeds, taper compensation) as needed
Collaborate with programmers and operators to improve setup time and part quality
Maintain detailed setup and tooling documentation
Monitor dimensional and visual characteristics to detect non-conformances
Use precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, optical inspection systems such as SmartScope)
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Comply with all safety, health, and environmental regulations
Qualifications
5+ years of CNC machining experience (mills and lathes required)
3+ years of multi-axis setup experience, including live tooling
2+ years in a high-mix, low-volume production environment
Strong understanding of G-code
Ability to perform complex troubleshooting independently
Proficiency with precision measuring equipment
High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and reliable attendance
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
