Job Summary

A well-established machining company in Pelzer, SC is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience setting up and operating CNC machines, interpreting blueprints, and performing precise machining operations to meet tight tolerances. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret job orders, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine part specifications and machining requirements.

• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts and components using CAD designs and programming.

• Inspect products to ensure they meet quality and conformance standards.

• Follow all specifications listed in job orders, verbal instructions, and blueprints.

• Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of machined parts.

• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and related equipment.

• Conduct quality inspections throughout the machining process to ensure all parts meet customer requirements.

• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company safety policies.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC machines (mills, lathes, or multi-axis equipment).

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.

• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

• Basic understanding of CAD/CAM programs and CNC controls preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Stand for extended periods and work in a production environment.

• Use of hands and fingers to handle tools, equipment, and materials.

Schedule & Compensation

• Full-time position; typical shifts Monday–Friday (some overtime may be required).

B Shift-Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6a-6p.

Pay depends on experience- there will be a 10% pay increase for weekend shift.
