DESCRIPTION:
The 2nd Shift CNC Machining Production Supervisor is responsible to manage manufacturing processes including process improvement and process strategy for their department and provide status and other necessary reports to their department manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Manage daily and weekly production levels to support site forecasts and provide status and other necessary reports to department manager
- Oversee manufacturing staff and process to ensure safety, quality, accuracy, efficiency, and on-time delivery
- Enforce policies and procedures
- Adhere to all documentation including routers, work instructions, quality procedures, inspection sheets and drawings as applicable to the work being performed
- Support the company 6S and Lean Initiative Program and comply with safety regulations
- Practice creative thinking to improve efficiencies in work areas
- Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet customers changing business needs
- Work with other teams to improve processes and make recommendations on solutions to process improvements
- Investigate production problems to determine cause and resolution
- Focus on key metrics such as: on-time delivery, through-put, scrap reduction and overtime
- Maintain equipment and generate maintenance requests as needed
- Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience within a CNC manufacturing environment
- Minimum 3 years of direct oversight of production personnel
- Self-directed, well organized, and motivated
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Computer proficiency (Excel, Word)

- Excellent communication skills verbally and written
- Basic computer skills (Outlook Email, Excel, Word)
- Basic knowledge of lean tools
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering documents in written, oral, diagram, or schedule format
- Basic analytical and mathematical skills
- Capability to solve problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists through communication and teamwork
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures and equipment, OSHA regulations, manufacturing methods, routings, and standards
- Mechanically inclined a plus
- 6S knowledge a plus
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
