Position Overview
Seeking two experienced CNC Operators to support increased production demand within their machine shop operations. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining computer-controlled CNC machinery used to cut, shape, and drill wood components for cabinetry, furniture panels, and trim pieces.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience operating CNC equipment in a woodworking, cabinetry, or furniture manufacturing environment and will demonstrate strong attention to detail, blueprint reading capabilities, and knowledge of CNC programming and machine operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC routers and woodworking machinery
- Load raw wood materials and secure them using machine bed or vacuum systems
- Run pre-programmed production jobs and monitor machine performance
- Read and interpret technical blueprints and design specifications
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures
- Ensure parts meet dimensional accuracy and quality standards
- Replace worn tooling, including router bits, and perform basic machine maintenance
- Maintain clean and organized workstations
- Follow all machine shop and safety protocols when operating high-speed cutting equipment
Required Skills & Qualifications
Top 3 Requirements
- Blueprint & Technical Drawing Interpretation
Ability to understand and visualize finished products from technical drawings and manufacturing plans.
- CNC Operation & Programming
Experience operating CNC machinery and working with G-code or M-code through software platforms such as Cabinet Vision, Mastercam, or VCarve.
- Precision Measurement & Quality Control
Ability to use precision tools including calipers, gauges, and tape measures to verify product specifications.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience operating CNC machinery within woodworking or cabinetry production environments
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and CNC program loading
- Strong math and measurement skills
- Excellent attention to detail and product accuracy
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience operating CNC machines in wood manufacturing or cabinetry production
