Job Description

We’re seeking a 3rd Shift CNC Machine Set-Up Operator (Mills and Lathes) to support a manufacturing team specializing in high-precision machining. This Temp to Perm opportunity is based on-site and located in Sussex. Ideal for individuals with machining experience, the role involves operating equipment, performing inspections, and maintaining quality standards. Responsibilities:

• Operate mill and lathe machines to produce parts according to methods and quality procedures.
• Set up and adjust machinery for production runs, ensuring accuracy and repeatability.
• Conduct in-process quality checks using gauges and visual inspections.
• Complete and maintain production documentation, labels, and forms accurately.
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience with setup and operation of Mills and Lathes, or relevant machining background.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and routings.
• Capable of performing in-process inspections with gauges and visual assessments.
• Standing for long periods and lifting up to approximately 40 lbs is required.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic with minimal job changes in recent years.
