CNC Machine Repair Technician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Repair Technician to join our team at our facility in Northville, MI, 48168. The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of CNC machines and industrial automation equipment, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and repair a range of mechanical and electrical issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on CNC Grinder, CNC Lathe (2-4 axis), and CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC)
• Inspect and calibrate Calipers and Micrometers
• Repair and maintain Conveyor Systems and Forklifts
• Troubleshoot and repair Gantry Robot and Industrial Robot systems
• Work with HMI and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems
• Create and implement Preventive Maintenance Plans for equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair Mechanical and Electrical issues on CNC machines
• Support the Sr CNC Maintenance Tech
• Lead efforts in diagnosing system malfunctions and prescribes repairs or changes in work and design practices
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Skills & Abilities

• Can work with pumps, black pipe, and PVC.
• Competent in blueprints and schematics
• Experience working with Doosan, Bridgeport, Fuji, Fanuc, Kawasaki, Allen Bradley, Omron, and Siemens machines
• PLC Programming Experience is a plus

Education & Experience

• 2-5 years minimum of relevant manufacturing maintenance experience is required
• Advanced technician training, completed related apprenticeship or a minimum of 2 years related experience
• Experience with precision machining assembly
• NC programming experience a plus
• Experience with PLC Troubleshooting Skills
• Knowledge of Measurement Gauges and Servo Motors
• Experience in Troubleshooting Industrial Automation Equipment
• Experience working with Doosan, Bridgeport, Fuji, Fanuc, Kawasaki, Allen Bradley, Omron, and Siemens machines
• Previous experience in a Manufacturing Environment
• Controls, PLC, HMI, or industrial ethernet knowledge is preferred
