About the Role
Stone Enterprises is looking for an experienced
CNC Machine Programmer
to join our Omaha, NE team.
This is a
hands-on programming, setup, and operation position
for an experienced CNC professional who takes pride in precision machining and quality workmanship.
You will program, set up, and operate
CNC Hurco and Haas mills and lathes
to manufacture custom equipment components and aftermarket replacement parts for the food processing industry.
Our work involves machining stainless steel, aluminum, plastics, and other materials to demanding specifications, with typical tolerances ranging from
0.0005" to 0.003".

What You'll Do
- Program, set up, and operate CNC Hurco and Haas mills and lathes.
- Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs to produce precision components.
- Set up machines, tooling, workholding, and offsets for machining operations.
- Select appropriate tooling and machining methods based on material, part requirements, and tolerances.
- Machine
stainless steel, aluminum, plastics, and other materials.
- Produce parts to tight dimensional tolerances and customer specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
- Use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring equipment to verify dimensions.
- Inspect work in process and finished products to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup, and programming issues.
- Make program and setup adjustments as needed to maintain part quality.
- Meet production schedules while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures.
- Maintain tooling, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
- Continuously develop machining and programming skills as technology and equipment evolve.
- Work collaboratively with team members to solve problems and improve machining processes.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of machine shop experience.
- CNC programming and setup experience required.
- Experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills and/or lathes.
- Experience with
Hurco and/or Haas CNC machines
preferred.
- Experience machining
stainless steel, aluminum, and plastics.
- Ability to read and understand
blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, feeds, speeds, and workholding.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to manage priorities and meet production deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented work ethic.
- Willingness to learn new equipment, tooling, and machining techniques.
