Description
Operate one or more computer numeric or numeric control machines to perform drilling, reaming, tapping, milling, boring, and other machine operations over various surfaces, diameters, and depths. Positioning in all axes and changing preset tools are preprogrammed to follow the pre-established methods automatically. The setups on some jobs are complicated and require milling to close tolerances. The operator must determine the proper operation sequence and select and adjust tools in adapters and mounts in the storage matrix (drum).

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively communicate information with managers and other employees, both orally and in writing.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts of introductory algebra.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The employee is occasionally exposed to uncomfortable colds or heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
