In this role, you will operate CNC machines to produce high-quality components while ensuring safety and efficiency in the workplace.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and mills, to produce parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining operations.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and accuracy of finished products.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve production processes and efficiency.
- Document production data and maintain accurate records of work performed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience operating CNC machines, with a strong understanding of machining processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Basic knowledge of programming CNC machines is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
