Summary:
A machine Operator covers the following specialized equipment and/or operations:
1. CNC Lathes
2. CNC Mills
3. Punch Presses
4. CNC Foam Cutter
5. Laser Cutters
6. Other various technical positions within the organization
Machine Operator 1 can tend to and feed materials into a machine and make necessary measurements to verify part quality. Machine operator 1 will begin training to complete changeovers or setups to equipment but would do so with supervision by a higher-level operator or trainer. This would transition into completing these task’s independently.
Primary Responsibilities (essential functions):
• Ability to independently follow safety procedures
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and visual work instructions
• Operate equipment with minimal support beyond initial training
• Able to maintain product throughput requirements
• Perform basic machine maintenance on equipment as trained
Secondary Responsibilities (marginal functions):
• Able to interpret part drawings
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Able to use basic tools to ensure parts meet quality standards
• Record measurements of checked parts in spreadsheet as required
Minimum Requirements:
• Must have High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent work Experience
• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 10 hours in a shift
• Must be able to perform repetitive motion using arms, hands, and wrists.
• Must be able to communicate in English
• Must have good mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to consistently lift up to 25lbs independently
• Must be able to team lift up to 100lbs
