**Position Overview
**We are seeking entry-level CNC machine operators to run CNC lathes in a fast-paced production environment. Operators will be responsible for starting and monitoring machines, loading materials, inspecting parts, and ensuring equipment runs safely and efficiently. While some prior machine operating experience is helpful, it is not required—on-the-job training will be provided for motivated candidates who are dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a hands-on manufacturing role.
**Key Responsibilities
**
Operate CNC machines to manufacture metal components according to job instructions
Load raw materials and unload finished parts, ensuring efficient machine operation
Start, stop, and monitor machines during the production cycle to maintain consistent output
Perform basic part inspections using measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Review part specifications and follow job travelers, work orders, or basic blueprints
Detect and report machine or quality issues to leads or supervisors
Perform minor machine adjustments and maintain tooling condition as instructed
Follow all safety procedures and keep a clean, organized workstation
Support team production goals and meet daily run targets
**Qualifications
**
High school diploma or equivalent required
Some experience operating CNC or other production machinery preferred
Basic understanding of mechanical processes and safety practices
Ability to read and follow written instructions and part specifications
Familiarity with precision measuring tools is a plus
Dependable, punctual, and committed to quality and continuous improvement
Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Willingness to learn new machines, tools, and production techniques
