**Job Title: CNC Machine Operator

**Job Summary

**

Client is seeking experienced CNC Machine Operators to operate CNC equipment, perform basic machine setups, make tooling and size adjustments, and inspect machined parts to ensure they meet required specifications. The ideal candidate should be comfortable reading blueprints, process sheets, and basic G/M codes.

**Key Responsibilities

**

• Read and understand process sheets, blueprints, sketches, and machining instructions.

• Determine machining requirements, dimensional specifications, setup requirements, feeds, and speeds.

• Mount workpieces using centers, chucks, or fixtures.

• Operate one or more CNC machine tools and monitor machining operations.

• Monitor numerical displays on machine control panels and compare readings against process sheets.

• Make size and tooling offset adjustments as needed.

• Read and understand most common G/M codes.

• Perform first-piece inspections and spot-check subsequent parts for dimensional accuracy and quality.

• Complete first article inspections according to specifications.

• Review job packets and prepare materials for upcoming production runs during automatic machine cycles.

• Perform basic CNC machine setups independently with minimal difficulty and within the required time.

• Maintain a clean and organized machine, floor, and work area.

• Ensure the workstation and machine are clean and ready for the incoming shift.

• Accurately complete time cards, process sheets, and tub cards.

• Complete reject tags for first-shift/machine scrap and place rejected material in the appropriate location.

• Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

**Required Qualifications

**

• **2+ years of CNC machine operating experience

  ** preferred.

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and process sheets.

• Knowledge of CNC machine operation and basic setup procedures.

• Ability to make tooling and size offset adjustments.

• Working knowledge of G/M codes.

• Ability to perform dimensional inspections using appropriate measuring equipment.

• Ability to complete first article and in-process inspections.

• Strong attention to detail and quality.

• Ability to work independently and meet production requirements.

• Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
