Job Purpose

Under limited supervision and with some technical guidance of more senior mechanics efficiently perform maintenance and repair on Company assembly equipment, machine tools, machining equipment, and manufacturing equipment by using cost-saving strategies and ensuring Graco quality standards are met.

This position is on 2nd shift- Monday through Friday - 2pm-10pm

Essential Duties

  • Perform preventative maintenance and simple repairs of all company-owned machine tools, assembly equipment, and Graco owned manufacturing assets.
  • Perform simple testing and repair in the area of hydraulics, mechanical elements, electrical, and electronics.
  • Promptly respond to customer maintenance requests concerning equipment breakdowns.
  • Troubleshoot issues to determine the course of action and consult with CNC Mechanic A for advice if necessary.
  • Provide support to departmental personnel as workload dictates.
  • Keep accurate maintenance records.
  • Order parts/supplies and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Meet operational requirements and expectations for accuracy of work, while minimizing waste by caring for product, equipment, and facilities.
  • Maintain a productive and efficient work environment.
  • Follow all required safety guidelines and utilize the proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Education & Experience:

Preferred

  • Associates degree in maintenance/maintenance related field (electrical, electronics, hydraulics, fluid power, robotics, etc.) and meet experience requirements.
  • 2+ years of machine maintenance experience


Requirements with No Degree

  • Must meet experience requirements. If no degree must start associates degree in maintenance or a related field to be eligible for step increases and/or promotion to next pay grade.
  • 7+ years of CNC maintenance experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Understand safety rules and regulations to prevent unsafe set-ups, operations, or acts, which might cause injury to self, others, or the environment.
  • Read and understand mechanical prints and electrical schematics.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to take work direction and complete tasks in an organized and timely manner.
  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
