Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines according to engineering specifications and production schedules.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
- Conduct quality checks using precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet tolerances and specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to meet production goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
- Document production data and report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining is a plus.
- Proven experience as a CNC lathe operator or similar role.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine set-up procedures.
- Familiarity with G-code and M-code programming languages.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a machining environment.
