Our customers include packaging suppliers, heavy industrial facilities, water treatement, constrution OEM manufactururers, trucking companies, and many more!

We are looking for CNC machine operators - either a lathe or mill. Experience is preferred.

As a Machinist at IMS, you'll program, set up and operate CNC Milltronics lathes & mills to produce high-quality parts that meet precise specifications- something you can be proud of!

This role requires attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to work both independantly as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program and set up CNC lathes and mills according to job specifications
  • Load, align, and operate machines per work order instructions
  • Install and adjust chucks, tools, attachments, and fixturing
  • Prepare tooling and perform machine changeovers
  • Interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances
  • Use and interpret measuring equipment with a high degree of accuracy
  • Maintain part specifications through regular observation and measurement
  • Consistently produce accurate, high-quality components
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Travel for on-site installation or service work as required by management
  • Attend mandatory meetings at designated locations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Education & Experience

  • Two-year technical degree in Machine Tool Technology preferred
  • Equivalent experience in CNC machining will be considered

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements

  • Always- Foot Protection (Steel Toe Footwear)

    • Eye Protection
    • Ear Protection in Hearing Required Areas, Occasionally in Hearing Recommended Areas
  • Occasionally- Hand Protection

    • Face Protection

Physical Demands

  • Regular standing, with work performed from waist to shoulder height
  • Occasional walking, bending, twisting, reaching, and pivoting
  • Occasional lifting of up to 70 lbs
  • Infrequent squatting, kneeling, climbing, or working overhead

Performance Requirements

  • Proficient in operating lathes and reading blueprints
  • Skilled in using precision measurement tools:
  • Occasional use of basic hand tools

Work Environment

  • Typical indoor shop environment
  • Rare outdoor work required
  • Periodic exposure to industrial noise
