Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator to set up, operate, and monitor CNC lathe machines to produce precision components that meet quality and production standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read technical drawings, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to manufacture precision parts

• Load and unload raw materials and finished components

• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions

• Perform tool changes, offsets, and minor program adjustments as needed

• Monitor machine performance and make real-time adjustments to maintain quality

• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools

• Document production data, inspections, and any issues

• Perform basic troubleshooting and routine machine maintenance

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

• Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC lathe operating experience preferred

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T

• Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, and tooling

• Experience with quality inspection tools and processes

• Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High attention to detail and commitment to quality

Preferred Skills

• Experience with tight tolerances and high-precision parts

• Familiarity with ISO, AS9100, or similar quality standards

• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Basic CNC programming knowledge is a plus

• Ability to stand for extended periods

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

• Manual dexterity for handling tools and components
