**Job Summary
**
We are seeking a CNC Lathe Operator to set up and operate CNC machinery to produce quality parts according to work orders, drawings, and customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of CNC machine operating experience, preferably with CNC lathes or mills. Candidates with strong manufacturing experience and good mechanical aptitude who are eager to learn CNC operations may also be considered.
**Key Responsibilities
**
Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture parts according to work orders and drawings.
Load and unload parts, cycle machines, and monitor machine operations.
Identify machine malfunctions and recognize worn or damaged cutting tools.
Perform basic machine adjustments and learn CNC programming as needed.
Use hand tools to deburr, de-gate, polish, and finish parts.
Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality and customer specifications.
Complete required production paperwork accurately and maintain proper documentation.
Run production lots while meeting quality, productivity, and delivery requirements.
Communicate effectively with coworkers regarding production schedules and machine operations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S principles.
Follow all safety procedures, written instructions, and company policies.
Participate in continuous improvement activities focused on quality, cost, output, and delivery.
Escalate equipment, quality, or production issues to the appropriate personnel.
**Qualifications
**
High School Diploma/GED preferred.
**1+ year of manufacturing experience required.
**
**6+ months of CNC machine operating experience required
**, preferably CNC lathes or mills.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic machine issues.
Basic to intermediate computer and math skills.
Ability to accurately measure parts using appropriate measuring tools.
Ability to learn CNC programming and robotic equipment.
Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to speak and understand English.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in above-ambient temperatures.
Reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
