Job Description

Our client in Grand River, OH is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist (Programmer) for a growing manufacturing company. This is not an operator-level position — seeking a highly skilled machinist who can independently program, set up, and run CNC lathe machinery. Temp to Hire opportunity, eligible for hire in after 90 days.

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience programming CNC lathes, interpreting complex blueprints, and machining large components with precision and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of CNC Lathe experience (10+ years preferred)

• Strong CNC programming experience (at the machine and/or offline)

• Ability to perform full machine setup and tooling changes

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings

• Experience machining large parts and components

• Strong understanding of tolerances, feeds, speeds, and material properties

• Ability to inspect parts using precision measuring instruments

• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities:

• Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes

• Read and interpret blueprints to produce precision components
