Location: Southwick, MA 01077Employment Type: Full-TimeShift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:30 PMPay Range: $26.10 – $32.25/hrCNC Lathe Machinist – 1st ShiftPosition OverviewWe are looking for a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our expanding aerospace manufacturing operation in Southwick, MA. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes, performing inspections, adjusting offsets as needed, and producing precision-machined components that meet strict customer and industry specifications.The ideal candidate will have solid CNC lathe experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of CNC lathe machining experienceAerospace manufacturing background preferredHigh School Diploma or GED required; technical training a plusStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilityAbility to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and operation sheetsExperience using precision inspection tools, including:MicrometersCalipersIndicatorsPreset gaugesAbility to set tooling and input offsets into machine controlsExperience setting up boring jaws and mounting face plates with fixturesAbility to operate multiple CNC machines performing similar functionsExperience machining complex parts with tight tolerancesKey ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC lathes to produce precision aerospace componentsFollow blueprints, operation sheets, and verbal/written instructionsConduct first-piece inspections and make machine adjustments when requiredInspect finished parts to ensure dimensional accuracy, tolerances, and surface qualityMaintain AS9100 and ISO9001 documentation, traceability, and revision complianceTroubleshoot machining and tooling issues and communicate concerns to leadershipMonitor tooling wear and replace tools as necessaryComplete production and inspection documentation accuratelyMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaFollow all PPE, safety, and 6S standardsOperate multiple CNC machines as production needs requirePerform routine maintenance on machines and workstationsWork EnvironmentThis role operates within a manufacturing environment that may include:Elevated noise levels from machineryExposure to metal shavings, cutting fluids, dust, fumes, and mistMoving mechanical equipment and forkliftsSharp metal edges and machine componentsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb stairs for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 30 poundsAbility to read customer documentation with or without corrective lensesWhy Join Our Team?Competitive hourly compensationConsistent first-shift scheduleOpportunity to work in the aerospace manufacturing fieldClean, collaborative production environmentCareer growth opportunities for experienced machinists
