We are seeking an experienced CNC Setup/Operator with expertise in Okuma Machines and Okuma Lathes. The ideal candidate will set up and operate CNC machinery to precise tolerances for the production of aluminum, brass, steel, and stainless-steel valve components. This role requires a high level of skill in precision measurement, machine maintenance, and blueprint interpretation.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate various Okuma CNC machines and lathes according to work orders and blueprint specifications.
Perform accurate and detailed setup procedures as per company standards.
Maintain machine setup, change inserts, and make minor offset adjustments as needed.
Edit programs via computer panel to ensure safety and optimal operation.
Produce precision components with tolerances up to ±0.0005 inches.
Load blanks and unload machined parts, monitoring consistency and accuracy.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 5 years CNC setup and operation experience, specifically with Okuma machines/lathes.
Proficiency in operating multiple machines simultaneously.
Skilled in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and schematics.
Proficient in shop math including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and measurement in decimals, fractions, and metric units.
