Machinist (CNC Lathe)

Revere Staffing is looking for a Machinist (Lathe).

Location: Zelienople, PA

Pay: $25–$28/hour, based on experience (flexibility above $28 for highly experienced candidates — open to discussion)

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly dynamic Machinist (CNC Lathe). This position performs measuring operations within the scope of operations for all equipment. We need someone with strong mechanical aptitude, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to proficiently read detailed drawings, blueprints, machining procedures, and shop travelers. This role reports directly to the Machine Shop Group Leader.

What You'll Do

• Review project assignments and instructions from the Team Leader
• Review drawings and machining requirements for each job
• Understand the tasks at hand and develop action plans
• Set up machines and any other required equipment
• Monitor machines and make adjustments to produce better results
• Ensure all work meets quality standards
• Consistently look for ways to eliminate waste and improve processes
• Practice safety in all aspects of the job
• Identify potential safety issues with equipment and processes

What You'll Bring

• Two years of experience running a CNC Lathe (preferred)
• High School diploma or GED (required)
• Ability to read and understand detailed drawings, blueprints, machining procedures, and shop travelers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to learn and operate all machine shop equipment, tools, measuring equipment, and cranes
• Strong computer skills for entering job logs and job information
• Well-organized, able to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt effectively
• Strong technical skills, including the ability to build systems and develop the processes behind them
• Initiative and the ability to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the team
• Ability to hear safety alarms, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs, and wear safety boots
